Shipping & Delivery

This page applies to printed books only — the Physical Edition and the physical part of the Premium Bundle. The Digital Edition is delivered instantly by email and download and does not involve shipping.

How your book is made

Every BraveBound book is printed on demand, just for your child, by our print partner. Nothing is pre-printed: production starts only after your order is confirmed.

What the printed book is like

• Size: 11 × 8.5 inches (28 × 21.6 cm), landscape — made to be read side by side.
• Cover: softcover with a glossy finish.
• Pages: around 40, full colour throughout, on heavy coated paper.
• Layout: a full illustration on one side, the story text facing it.

Production time

Once your story is finalized, your book is sent to print. Typical production (printing & binding) takes about 3–5 business days before the book ships. Production time is separate from the shipping time below.

Where we ship & delivery times

We ship printed books to the destinations listed below. The Digital Edition is available worldwide. Estimated total times are production + transit:

• United States: ~2 weeks
• United Kingdom, Ireland & Europe (EU/EEA, incl. Switzerland, Norway, Iceland): ~2–3 weeks
• Canada, Australia & New Zealand: ~2.5–3.5 weeks
• Asia & Middle East (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Saudi Arabia): ~3–4 weeks
• Latin America & South Africa (Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, South Africa): ~3–4 weeks

Transit typically takes 10–20 days depending on the destination, on top of the 3–5 business days of production. These are estimates, not guarantees — actual delivery can vary with the carrier and with customs clearance, which is the main source of delay on long-distance destinations.

Don't see your country at checkout? We're only able to ship printed books to the destinations listed above for now. The Digital Edition is available everywhere — and if you'd like us to look into your country, just email us.

Shipping cost

Shipping is included in the price of every physical order — the price you see at checkout is the total you pay, with free delivery to every destination we serve.

Order tracking

When your book ships, we'll email you a shipping confirmation. Depending on the destination, detailed tracking may be limited once the parcel leaves our print partner.

Christmas & seasonal deadlines

For holiday delivery (e.g. Christmas), please order well in advance: we recommend at least 3 weeks for the US, 4 weeks for Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and 5–6 weeks for Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and South Africa. These are longer than our usual estimates on purpose: postal networks slow down considerably during the holiday peak. We'll post specific seasonal cut-off dates closer to the holidays. For last-minute gifts, the instant Digital Edition is always delivered right away.

Shipping address

Please double-check the shipping address at checkout. We can only change an address before the book enters production. If a package is returned to us because the address was incorrect or incomplete, we'll reach out to arrange re-shipping (which may require a new order, since books are made to order).

Damaged or defective books

If your book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery at stories@braveboundbooks.comwith a photo — we'll arrange a free replacement (a fresh reprint) at no cost to you. You don't need to ship anything back. If a shipment is confirmed lost in transit, contact us and we'll reprint and re-send it.

Returns, refunds & replacements

Each book is personalized and printed on demand, just for your child — it's made to order and cannot be resold. For this reason orders are non-returnable and non-refundable. To help you decide with confidence, we offer a free preview (cover + first pages) before you buy. This policy does not limit your rights for damaged or defective items, which we always put right with a free replacement (see above), as required by law.

International orders & customs

For destinations outside the United States, any customs duties or import taxes that may apply are the recipient's responsibility and are not included in the price.
